Women Pick Up Two More Wins in One Day

By Scott Lemon, Yellowstone Christian SID

BILLINGS, Mont. — The Yellowstone Christian College Centurion women were scheduled to travel to Poplar on Friday morning. However, as announced on Tuesday morning, their opponent Fort Peck Community College has forfeited the remainder of their season.

The Centurions and Buffalo Chasers were scheduled to square off two more times before season’s end in two weeks, once in Poplar on Friday and once in Billings next Friday. The Centurions will officially win both games by the score of 2-0.

The Centurions will host the Gillette College Pronghorns next Tuesday night at The Shrine. Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will be the only game that night. The Centurions and Pronghorns have met twice this season, with Gillette winning both match ups.

However, both the Pronghorns and the Centurions are playing much better basketball as of late. The Centurions will head into Tuesdays game with a 9-12 record and an eight-game winning streak in tact. On the flip side, Gillette has dramatically improved after a slow start to their season. They hold a 17-7 record and have two lengthy winning streaks of eight games and six games on separate occasions this season.
