Bears Take Grudge Match Over Centurions 81-68

By Scott Lemon, Yellowstone Christian College SID

BILLINGS, MT — Six days after the Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears handed the Yellowstone Christian College Centurions a tough eight-point loss, the Bears got the best of the Centurions again, this time with an 81-68 final.

The Centurions hung tough in the first half, finding themselves down by only two at halftime. However, in the second half, the Bears came out firing. The Bears were led offensively by Riley Bradshaw and Bryden Boehning with 24 and 22 points respectively. Zach Hinton joined the tandem in double figures with 13 points. The Bears also took care of the ball, turning the ball over only eight times compared to the Centurions’ 21 turnovers, as well as winning the rebounding battle 33-21.

On the flip-side of the card, the Centurions saw only two players in double-digits. Aaron Munday-Rashid led the charge with 16 points, followed closely behind by Aleksandar Brankovic with 15.

The most glaring stat of the night besides the turnovers was how the Centurions faired from the free-throw line. YCC shot a meager 36% (8 of 22) from the charity stripe.

The Centurions head to Sheridan, Wyoming, for a tournament this weekend, with the opponents still to be announced. For more information about the season and for full game recaps, visit
