Brandon Rogers-Director of Athletics/Head Men's & Women's Basketball Coach

Coach Rogers recently finished his first season at Yellowstone Christian College taking the Lady Centurions to their best finish in program history going 13-8 and winnning its first ever National Tournament game. The Lady Centurions went into the tournament as the 8th seed, and knocked off the 4 seeded Bluefield Rams. Rogers was named NCCAA D1 West Region coach of the year. This was a year of many firsts for the Lady Centurions finishing in the Top 10 National Rankings for the NCCAA D1. The sharp shooting team finished the year averaging 72.8 PPG, and allowing only 61PPG. The sharp shooting team was ranked in the top 3 in 3PT field goal percentage, and 3PT FG made per game.

Rogers comes from Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska. In Coach Roger’s first year at Grace University he took the 6-24 team to a 17-14 record and they’re first regional appearance in the NCCAA D1 central region. In addition, he led two student athletes to 2nd team all-region accomplishments.

Before Brandon’s time in Omaha, he was the Assistant Coach for the University of Maine at Augusta where he also received his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. Rogers was the conference player of the year for the Yankee Small College Conference and a three time All-American. Rogers tallied 1,700 points and over 1,000 rebounds in his three years at the University of Maine at Augusta. Rogers received two professional contracts overseas for the Essex Blades and Dublin Swords. Rogers is originally from Turlock, California.

Coach Rogers is currently serving as the West Region Chair representative for the NCCAA. He will be graduating with his Masters degree in Sports Management specified in Athletic Administration from Liberty University the Summer of 2019.

Alyssa Strickland

  Assistant Coach / SID

Alyssa Strickland enters her first year of coaching under Head Coach Brandon Rogers. Strickland reigns from Conway, Arkansas after graduating this past year from Yellowstone Christian College. She is quite familiar with Rogers system, after playing for him the past two seasons. Coach Strickland was a 1,000 point scorer, and a 2nd Team-All Region Player. Strickland helped lead the Lady Centurions to their best season finish in school histroy at the NCCAA D1 National tournament. She averaged over 10 PPG and 4 APG last year for the Lady Centurions.
